Our Legal Documents
One agreement, improved by our clients
If you would like a change to our terms, we welcome the request. Here is what happens when you make one, and why we handle it the way we do.
Why we run on a single set of terms
More than 1,500 organizations rely on FutureFeed under one standard set of terms. That is a deliberate choice, and it protects you as much as it protects us.
If we negotiated a separate side agreement with every client who asked, we would eventually fail to honor one of them. A promise we cannot reliably keep at scale is not a promise worth making. As a compliance company, we hold ourselves to the same standard we help our clients meet: commitments must be trackable, verifiable, and consistently delivered.
What happens when you request a change
Every request lands in one of three places:
1. We adopt it for everyone
If your request is fair to you, fair to us, and would benefit other clients, we do not make a special deal. We change the standard terms for all clients. Your suggestion makes the agreement better for the entire community, and you get exactly what you asked for.
2. We provide a written addendum
A small number of requests are client-specific but straightforward to manage reliably. For those, we can issue a written addendum to the online terms.
3. We respectfully decline
If a request would require us to track a unique obligation separately for one client among thousands, we almost always decline. Not because we do not value the request, but because the risk of failing to honor a one-off commitment is a risk to you, not just to us.
This approach works. Many provisions in our current documents exist because a client asked a good question. We receive fewer special-terms requests every year for a simple reason: reasonable requests have already been built into the standard agreement.
How to make a request
-
1
Send us your full list of requested changes in writing, ideally with your legal team’s markup or comments. A complete list up front lets us come to the conversation prepared and usually eliminates rounds of back and forth. -
2
We review every item against the three outcomes above and prepare a written response. -
3
We meet if needed. For substantive discussions, a member of our executive team joins the call.
To start a request, contact your account representative or write to [email protected]. We look forward to hearing what would make our terms better.
